GUARDIAL ALS is a universal day headlights switch which makes the vehicle operation more comfortable - the driver is exempted from a requirement to switch on the day headlights while starting the vehicle.
GUARDIAL ALS is designed to control dipped headlights and running lights.

Principle of operation
GUARDIAL ALS switches on the day headlights automatically after starting the engine. Turning the ignition key does not switch on the headlights (the alternator is not working). The controller detects working alternator after the engine is started. The headlights are switched on with a 3-4 second delay.

Hand brake
In case the controller is connected to the hand brake the day headlights remain switched off until the hand brake is released. This solution is particularly functional in winter when the engine is started earlier in order to heat the vehicle interior and defrost the windows and wing mirrors.
During the drive, pulling up the hand brake does not switches off the headlights. This might be useful in case of stopping the vehicle on an incline (e.g. at the crossroads, at a stopping place, etc.).
